EXPEDITION 3, JULY 3-4, 2008. MITCH WAITE, PRESTON SMITH AND PHOEBE ADAMS.
Preston and I arrived early and set up our tent, outhouse tent and camp equipment. We decided to go fishing while we waited for Phoebe to arrive. We did fairly well. Enough for dinner. We arrived back in camp just before Phoebe,
She pitched her tent about 20 yards away from out tent and set up her ramada over the picnic table. After dinner we kicked back and began to relax. The campsite at the other end of the campground was now taken. There were two adults and three kids. We could hear them playing in the creek and being kids.
Suddenly, there was and explosion. They were setting off fire works. This was totally illegal to do in the forest. Consequently, we figured all chances of hearing a bigfoot call or wood knocking was gone. They soon ran out of fire works and things quieted down again.
During this time, Peobe decided to try decorating a small pine tree with glow sticks and rings. She was hoping to attract the curosity of any watching bigfoots. I placed one of my game cameras on it, and then retired to the campfire.
Phoebe broke out a boom box and was talking about playing some recorded from the internet bigfoot calls. We decided it couldn't hurt, but we were not expecting any results since the fireworks show. We tried several different calls, and whoops, and even beat on a tree with a large stick. But there were no returns. Phoebe tried one more which to me sounded like a drunken sumo wrestler cussing out his wife. We got a response. It wasn't what we hoped for but it was a response. We could hear one of the kids in the next camp scream, "MOM!"
We heard the adult reply, "Shut up and go to sleep!" We realized the adults were in the SUV and the kids were in a tent. Phoebe reached down and played the call again. This time all three kids responded, and we could hear the parents telling them to go back to sleep. By this time we were laughing. It was payback time for the fireworks. We laughed about it for a while and was amazed how the other bigfoot whoops and calls had no effect, but the wierdest call sturck a tone of terror. Phoebe hit the boom box again. This time all we heard was four car doors slammin shut. The next morning they were gone. I kind of feel guilty for laughing so hard at the time, but we had the camp ground all to our selves the rest of the weekend.

The next morning Phobe was first up and headed for the outhouse. I was up and went over to the picnic table to start breakfast. I went back to the tent to wake Preston when I saw it. On the ground not two feet from my tent door was a bare foot print. It was not huge, but was only 9 inches long and a good four inches wide. It was the wierdest foot print I had seen. We took pictures, videoed it and cast it in plaster. A second foot print was found in front of the shower tent.
Phoebe found a large ball of spanish moss in front of her tent door. There was none growing in the camp ground. It had to be carried there. We kind of thought it was some kind of gift from our barefoot friend. Take time to look up the medicinal value of spanish moss. A very interesting gift. We believe we were vistited early in the morning and they played "slap the bull" with our tents and left Phoebe a present. Some kind of thank you or peace offering.
After casting the footprint, we took Phoebe up to where I had seen the Mogollon Monster on the prievious trip. We looked around a bit and it looked as if someone was trying to make the came look unused by piling all kinds of sticks in the entrances, that were not there previously. A bit strange.

Preston saw some rock bluffs above us and decided to go check them out. He found a series of small caves. One of which had a small wall built up in the entrance and a bed made out of leaves and grass inside. We nicknamed this the Mogollon Monster apartment complex. We now have game cameras on these caves to monitor any use.
It was time to head back. Our day was coming to and end and we had a long drive to make it back
