DEER KILLS 

Over the years I have been asked to view several deer kills.  These deer kills range from one deer to as many as four.  They all seem to have characteristics common to each other.  The front legs will be broken or removed.  The head will be gone.  the heart and lungs will be missing.  The hide will be pulled back over the hind leg haunches, but mostly in tact.  Then the meat is systematically stripped from the carcass leaving the bones unbroken and in tact.  I do not know that is done with the head, but it will not be in the area.  Some people speculate the head is kept as a trophy, but I have a feeling it is buried some where not near the carcass.  It appears that the method of kill is usually a broken neck or back.

An elk kill will be quite different in the method of kill.  It appears either the back will be broken or some type of sharp object has been rammed into the body cavity.  Again, the head will be missing, the carcass will be skinned and stripped of meat.  The heart and liver will be gone. 

If these kills were do to a different type predator such as a lion, bear, wolf, or coyote, the carcass bones will be broken and scattered.  The skull would be in the area.  The bear and cat will bury the carcass with leaves and pine needles for later meals.

Some of these kills have taken place on leased land and the ranchers do not want the locations made public or for the authorities to be notified (such as Game and Fish) due to the investigations and paperwork.  Ranchers are mostly concerned about their cattle or livestock.  In most cases, human's live stock remain untouched.  With the exception of chickens and dogs.  Chickens are devoured, and dogs are hated by the Bigfoot.  Perhaps, due to dogs alerting the humans of the Bigfoot's location

Sentry posts.  Do they set out sentrys to warn the group or clan of incoming danger.  Many have reported word knocking and then a reply from another area as the humans enter certain zones.  I believe they do.  Otherwise, we would have caught one by now.

It has become apparent to me that there is a reason humans have not been able to catch them off guard very often and the bigfoot have managed to evade us all this time.  Many of the bigfoot research world will not admit it, but the bigfoot are more intelligent than most give them credit for.  We're not just talking a super-smart deer or chimp level intelligence.  We are chasing a creature that is thinking, reasoning, and planning their safety and survival.  They are very, very good at it.  Yes, they communicate, and not just on a grunt or jesture level.  Recently, I have began to wonder if they understand our language.  They may not be able to speak it, but understand it to the point where they can listen to us and gain valuable information as to our intent.  I bet most of the folks here in this forum will agree to that. 

Of course, they are much more adapt to traveling the forests, and are much more in shape.  They can set their parimeters out from the group for several miles, thus afording them plenty of time and space to evade any incoming threat.  Of course, not many researchers can afford a helecopter and some thermal imaging equipment to prove this.  But, that is about the only way to prove or disprove it.

ESTIMATED NUMBERS, BIRTH RATE, AND FOOD AND SCAT 

In the three groups I know about they range from 6 to 12 each, but that is just a guess based on footprint sizes, vocalizations, etc.  However, I think there are a few singles ranging around probably looking for mates and new food sources. 

The scat I have found and been very light weight.  Almost as if every bit of nutrient has been sucked out of it.  If it wasn't for the moisture,  it would barely have any weight at all.  After it dries, it is somewhat like holding a rice cake. So it is very unknown as to how much of what they have to eat.  Their palet may be much different than ours, and they might be able to eat pine broughs and stuff we couldn't touch.  In the scat, I see elkweed, grass, and lots of stuff I assume to be plant matter.  I have not yet found any bones.  I have not yet decided what meat would look like after digestion.

Yes, the more I learn, the more I realize I don't know.  I am fairly sure they only birth one baby a year per group and usually it is in early spring.   However, I think that may be due to food availablilty.  Perhaps they know their fertile range and only allow mating at a time that will cooinside with foot sources.   That is probably why they get a bit testie in early spring.  (more of the primevil screams then).  I think the females of the group take turns with the baby.  Again, this is mostly gut feeling and not fact.  I could have it entirely wrong.  However, if they did have a birth rate like humans, there would certainly be more of them.
